All you need to do to fill it is tilt it down like a bucket and scoop it into the pile. The top grate comprises ¼” thick bars that eliminate frozen pieces. To ensure all the material is cleaned out of the hopper, we include a rotating agitator that spins on a knuckle, on a wheel, in a round pipe. There are four doors on the bottom of the hopper, which are the same size as the holes in the grate, to ensure all material that fits in will also fit out the bottom. The doors are adjustable to control how much material can come out and how fast. You won’t have to worry about waste, as the 18” diameter pan will catch build-up. We recommend opening 3 of the doors at a time instead of all 4 so that the material will not shoot back at the cab. We include a variable speed flow control with a check valve to prevent reverse operation and control speed. Messer Attachments tests all of our hydraulic items at full pressure with hydraulic oil to ensure they work correctly, also send them out full with oil, so they are ready to go as soon as you get them, without having to top off the hydraulic oil reservoir in your machine. Therefore, Messer Attachments includes an abrasion resistant sleeve to help protect the hydraulic hoses as well as flat face couplers.
